Linkedin currently has 70,000,000 members in the United States (190,000,000 worldwide), mostly professionals: Fortune 1000 executives, company founders, business owners, all other levels of management and decision makers from virtually every industry that exists. The average annual household income of its members being $110,000 creates a high likelihood that your ideal clients are currently Linkedin members.
The Linkedin community is extremely responsive and interactive. Taking an educated, active approach to Linkedin will provide a significant increase in your company’s website visitor traffic volume. Certainly, the preference is that your website visitors are targeted, have a need for your services and you can legitimately solve a problem for them. Like always, developing and nurturing the client relationship always comes before the sale. Those are fundamentals that hold true for whatever type marketing media we utilize.
To encourage Linkedin to produce requires a commitment that involves training, strategy development, some testing and a focused level of activity. The overall value of Linkedin isn’t always immediately available to the eye which explains why it’s misunderstood and underutilized in the first place. To truly take advantage of Linkedin, a solid understanding of and commitment to be consistently active must exist.
